Due West, SC---The Erskine College baseball program had eight players selected to the All Conference teams, while also having the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year.
Junior Bryan Fogle (Lexington, SC, Lexington High School) was voted as the Conference Carolinas Co-Player of the Year as well as being named to the first team outfield. Fogle finished the season with a .410 batting average, 12 doubles, 20 home runs, 73 RBIs, and a .825 slugging percentage. His 20 home runs broke the school record of 19 set in 2005 by Antonio Sabatini. Joining Folge on the first team was fellow outfielder Greg Huff (McDonough, GA, Henry County High School). Huff finished his junior season with a .391 average, 25 doubles, 17 home runs, 46 RBIs and a .744 slugging percentage. Second baseman Chas Anthony (Pickens, SC, Pickens High School) was also selected to the first team, hitting .378 with 23 doubles, 15 home runs, 56 RBIs, and a .713 slugging percentage. Rounding out the first team selections was third baseman John Bolding (Pickens, SC, Pickens High School) who hit .340 with 10 doubles, 11 home runs, 51 RBIs, and a .569 slugging percentage.
Cody McElhaney (Beech Island, SC, Midland Valley HS) was named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, while also being voted second team shortstop. Cody hit .338 with 16 doubles, 12 home runs, 39 RBIs, and slugging .621. Joining Cody on the second team was senior outfielder Keith Hill (Abbeville, SC, Abbeville High School). Hill hit .388 with 12 doubles, four home runs, 37 RBIs, and had a school record 32 stolen bases. Junior William Buzhardt (Columbia, SC, Ben Lippen High School) was selected as a second team pitcher, going 5-6 with a 3.33 ERA and 56 strike outs. Joining Buzhart was second team relief pitcher Atlee Pearson (Duncan, SC, Byrnes HS) who was 6-3 with seven saves in 24 appearances.
