Men's Golf Finish 3rd at Johnny Palmer Invite

New London, NC- After a tight first round where the Fleet were for first place, Erskine slipped to finish third behind Carson-Newman College and Pfeiffer University this past weekend at the Johnny Palmer Invitational. The invitational was hosted by Pfeiffer at the Old North State Club.
Erskine's Patrick Wilson led the way for the Fleet with a first round of 77 as they finished the first day of play tied with Carson-Newman and Pfeiffer at 317. Wilson dropped his score to 73 for the second round but Erskine's overall scored slipped by 4 strokes on day two as the Fleet finished third out of six.
Wilson finished tied for third as an individual while Wade Ramsey finished tied for eleventh shooting rounds of 77 and 82. Erskine's Brandon Hansen finished tied for nineteenth shooting 79 and 85 while Ben Sloan scored 84 and 81 placing twenty-third. Joe Anderson finished out Erskine's scorers as he shot 87 and 85 finishing in thirthy-fourth.
Erskine will compete again this weekend at the Saint Andrews Collegiate Invitational.
