Women's Tennis Signs Katie Sailors

Due West, SC – Head tennis coach Calhoun Parr has announced that Katie Sailors signed a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period to play at Erskine College. Katie is a senior at Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia. She has helped lead her high school team to three region championships and the Final Four in 5A state playoffs in 2007 and 2008. She has lettered four years and has played number one singles since her sophomore year. She is ranked 54 by USTA in the state of Georgia.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the Erskine tennis family. I have felt welcomed by the team since my first visit. I know that I will continue to develop as a tennis player and as an individual. I feel that my game can only improve in the tennis environment that Coach Parr creates,” said Sailors.
“Katie has a high level of passion for the game of tennis and life,” commented Coach Parr. “We are very excited to have Katie become part of the Erskine women’s tennis family. Katie has enjoyed great success on the court and in the classroom, and has proven to be a strong leader. Katie will be a great representative of Erskine’s athletic motto “Winning is important-Winning with Character is Everything”.”
