Winston-Salem, NC- Erskine men’s golf team finished 13th at the Will Wilson Southeast Preview hosted by the Tanglewood Golf Club over Fall Break.
Senior Patrick Wilson led the Fleet again, shooting rounds of 79, 67, and 73 for a strong 8th place individual finish out of 85 competitors. Wilson has played very well during this fall season, averaging 74 per round in his three tournaments.
Joel Sawyer also played well shooting 74, 76, and 78 for a 39th place finish. Sawyer, a freshman from Elberton Georgia, has stepped up and played a big role for the Fleet this season. He has averaged 75.29 per round in his three tournaments.
Joe Anderson opened the tournament with his best round of 75, the followed up with rounds of 77 and 79 for a 51st place finish. Anderson is averaging 78.57 per round during the fall.
Brandon Hansen hit for rounds of 79, 85, and 89 during the tournament while Wade Ramsey shot 86, 82, and 88. Hansen and Ramsey finished 79th and 81st respectively.
The men’s team will be off for the rest of the fall and winter and will return to play during their traditional spring season.
