Mars Hill Tops Fleet, 2-1

DUE WEST-- Mars Hill's MIscha Price scored a goal in each half to lead the Lions past Erskine in women's college soccer action at Huggins Field Tuesday night. The two goals were Price's first of the season as a short-handed Erskine squad snapped a two-game winning streak. The Fleet played without 4 players due to the flu bug including freshman star Emily Brown. Coach Gary Winchester opted to give goalie Si'Ara Washington the night off as well.
Price opened the scoring for Mars Hill at 20:54 on an unassisted goal. Erskine sophomore Lindsay Patterson brought the Fleet back at 39:42 on a goal assisted by freshman Kimrey Angotti-Smith. The two teams went to halftime tied at 1-1. Price struck again five minutes into teh second stanza on her second unassisted goal.
The fleet dropped to 6-7 with the loss and remain 5-3 in Conference Carolinas play. Erskine has huge road match at Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday.
