Erskine College Athletics

DUE WEST--  Erskine Director of Athletics and Men's Basketball Coach Mark Peeler has announced that the men's and women's basketball schedules for 2007-2008 have been revised from the original release of the schedules in early August.  An extra week has been added to the Conference Carolinas regular season with the tournament set to begin play on Monday, March 3, 2008. The extra week allowed for two Erskine games to be moved to February 26th and February 29th, relieving the Fleet of playing three games in one week during two weeks this winter. The moving of those scheduled games (Lees-McRae on Jan. 10th to Feb. 29th and Queens on Feb. 11th to Feb. 26th) created a need to change four other scheduled games as well.

The Conference Carolinas Tournament will be under a new format this season. Only the top eight regular season finishers will advance to the tournament. The quarterfinals will be played at the top four seeds home site. The semi-finals will be hosted by the top remaining seeds all the way through to the championship game, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
