Welcome to Erskine Flying Fleet Athletics!

Passion – Learning – Service – Resourcefulness – Sportsmanship – Balance:  those are the catchwords of the new NCAA Division II initiative “I Chose Division II.” The idea that NCAA Division II institutions emphasize the comprehensive program of learning and development is nothing new to Erskine College Athletics. Since the early 1900’s Erskine student-athletes have competed hard on the playing fields, studied in a rigorous academic environment, promoted the Christian mission of the college, and given their time to community service projects. As NCAA Division II has clearly defined who they are, at Erskine we believe the “balance” of Division II is what makes us a perfect fit for this level of high competitive athletics.

Over 180 student-athletes will wear Flying Fleet uniforms this academic year. We proudly watch as they strive for excellence. Winning is important at Erskine, but winning the right way is more important. Our student-athletes every year find their names on All-Conference plaques and All-Academic certificates, all the while being integral parts of the Due West community.

This is a special and unique place—a place former Presidential candidate Elizabeth Dole called “an institution not just of higher learning, but of higher yearning.” As our teams square-off this season in the newly-named ‘Conference Carolinas,” we hope you will follow their progress. Whether a prospective student-athlete, an alum, a fan, or a family member, we appreciate your taking the time to check out our site. We hope you like what you see. Our website was launched on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in hopes that we could provide a more friendly site for our visitors.
